Our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Always exceptional. Best gyro meat I've had. Chicken dishes are always great. Nice staff.

Oh. My. Word!! I have to admit, as I pulled up and was walking in, I had some doubts but MAN!! Am I so glad I stayed, this food is INCREDIBLE!!! We got the family platter and ate like kings, everything was fresh and hot and juicy and so SO utterly delicious!! The service was great, quick and kind; my sister has multiple allergies and therefore is usually disappointed when she goes out to eat. Tonight she ate bread (pita) and cheese (sheep feta!) for the first time in ages!! She was able to savor and deeply enjoy every bite, and that's a gift! The manager even made a custom dish of whipped feta with honey and pistachios- so good!! Don't pass on the Pita or hummus, both were out of this world, definitely say yes to Istanbul!!!

Really good food here! I kept it basic and just got the quad gyro platter. Service and ambiance are top notch. I'll certainly be back to explore more of the menu. All the dishes looked so good. This place is a must try!

I had big expectations for this restaurant after reading the yelp reviews, and I have to say that Istanbul Cuisine has exceeded them. Upon arrival, I felt the warm, calm atmosphere. Everything about the decor and even the lighting felt pleasant. The staff greeted me kindly and got my to-go order in. As I sat waiting for my order the gentleman at the register came over and handed me a cup of tea. This is when Istanbul Cuisine had my heart. The tea was such a comfort and was a nice gesture to say "welcome". I ordered a chicken plate and a pistachio baklava. OH. MY. GOODNESS. Everything tasted divine. The salad was crisp and refreshing, very nice to clean the pallet in between bites of chicken and rice. And I cannot leave a review without mentioning the pita bread, which was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and tasted so fresh. My only suggestion for this restaurant is to cut the sugar a bit on the baklava. I know my kids won't mind, though. Istanbul Cuisine felt like the warm hug I needed and I look forward to coming back with my family soon.

Because this was my first visit, There were many things that were 5 stars but a few that were 4 star. I chose to sit outside because the weather was so lovely. I noticed there were many smokers that were dining and that was a surprise to me because most people in the world know that it kills people. I sat far enough away so it did not bother my experience but thought I should mention this fact. The manager was very kind to let me taste many different items that were healthy and I will be back. I had the tabouli, the turkey salsa. salmon kebab, the Greek salad, and the chicken eggplant. I had three bites of the piping hot slightly salted bread they automatically bring and had one pita "chip". I also tried their famous (yummy) jasmine rice. Please remember that this is authentic food from Istanbul and not modernised. *Server Jude was a gem. She was kind and Full of wonderful knowledge about real Istanbul food and culture. *The still table water and Pinot Grigio was cold, in a decent wine glass and lovely. * I loved the tabouli but be aware that there is not much grains in it and they have lots of little onions. The Greek salad is light and wonderful but does not have any Kalamata olives. I liked it but it did need some toasted seeds on it for a little crunch. The bread they brought out tasted good but a little heavy for me. The pita chips are not crispy at all, which I was surprised, but not a bad thing. I am sure this is the way they have it so I am not complaining. *The chicken eggplant dish came out hot and had a great consistency but the tomato sauce is a little bland. Add some salt and pepper and you will be fine. Again, remember this is not an Italian dish. I loved trying it and having this unique experience, since I've never been to Istanbul. *it was unique having them play real Turkish music while you dine. *If you order the salmon kebabs, make sure you tell them to swap the standard mayonnaise sauce for their tzatziki. Even though that tzatziki is a full fat item, having a little of that with the salmon is necessary because otherwise it will be too bland. I loved how they accompanied the dish with grilled green peppers on a bed of Romaine lettuce. *I am the author of the book on Amazon called "Copy Ditto" and I have a chapter discussing the fact that people need to eat like the Mediterraneans for optimal health. I highly recommend that you frequently dine at Istanbul cuisine inSouthlake.

What an amazing Gem, very cute place, perfect ambiance, they have great local wines from Turkey, perfect little casual Date night or during the week. We ordered the hummas that came with turkish bread fresh out of the oven, the hummas was amazing. We ordered the Iskendar Kebab (bread gyro smothered with red sauce, very fresh flavors, and served with plain yogurt in the side) super yummy. My absolute favorite was the Moussaka ( egplant was amazing with layers of potatoes and beef served with delicious rice. We ordered the Turkish tea and the kunefe for desert OMG it was so good, I am so coming back for more! Narjes (hope I spelled your name right) Gave us excellent service - Thank you! I will definitely be back, keep up the amazing work!

Unassuming and approachable Mediterranean food served by a full Turkish staff and kitchen! I've been here twice and each time the staff were warm and friendly. The pre meal bread is warm and delicious, perfect for hummus and other dips. We really liked the moussaka and kebab which were full of flavor. Falafels were not bad either. Interior was reminiscent of a mom and pop shop with beautiful Turkish lights, which added to the authenticity and warmth. Would highly recommend if you are craving some Turkish food or would like to try something different in the area!

The wait staff here are great - the decor is a little on the "needs attention " side but it's clean - and that's the most important Food portions are plentiful and delicious and they have a bigger than usual selection of healthier alternatives for anyone looking for more health conscious meals. The energy platter I ordered was amazing and had the perfect balance of flavors and portions of each item. I liked that I could have a "bit of everything" in the one plate
